After more than two decades of leading teams, planning operations, and managing complex programs at the highest levels of the U.S. Department of Defense — including service on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon — our founder Brian Laney built this firm to bridge the gap between strategic vision and operational reality.

Brian Laney is the founder and principal consultant of Red Diamond Strategic, LLC. With 24+ years of progressive leadership experience in the U.S. Army — including service on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon — Brian has led diverse, high-performing teams through complex operational environments at the highest levels of the Department of Defense.
His expertise spans strategic planning, IT and communications infrastructure, program management, and organizational leadership. Brian has a proven track record of translating high-level strategy into practical, executable plans that deliver measurable results — whether managing multi-million-dollar programs, leading large-scale organizational change, or advising senior decision-makers on complex priorities.
As a U.S. Army Signal Officer, Brian's career was built at the intersection of technology, communications, and strategic operations — giving him a uniquely valuable perspective for organizations navigating digital transformation, IT modernization, and technology strategy in today's complex environment.
Brian is passionate about helping organizations — from government agencies to growing businesses — operate with clarity, efficiency, and purpose. He founded Red Diamond Strategic to make senior-level advisory accessible to organizations that need it most.
